Spanish club FCB is believed to be in the signing of former midfielder Deco this summer as their sporting director. So, it is not a transfer that has come without complications.
Vice-president Rafa Usti has confirmed that Deco will arrive at the club in due course, but will first have to give up his position as head of the D12 agency. Among his clients is Brazilian winger Rafinha.
However, Barcelona is likely to consider all major offers for their players, barring a few key pieces, with Sport saying Deco is ready to move Rafinha.
Rafinha is to stay at the club, claims Deco wants beyond this summer, and has done enough to stay at Ciudad Condal.
Raphinha will sell for a significant offer, but if absolutely necessary. English club Newcastle have been reportedly linked with him, and they have the budget to do so.
One reason for the delay in Deco’s arrival is the conflict over his interest in being Raphinha’s agent. He has yet to relinquish the commission he received for Rafinha’s arrival in Barcelona.
Which brings him into muddy waters with the club’s code of conduct. Nevertheless, with Deco on board, it looks like Rafinha will remain.
Decision Taken Now:
According to journalist Alex Pantinel on his Twitter account, Rafinha are not ready for a change of scenery despite Deco D’Souza.
We brought him from Leeds United to Spotify Camp Nou as his agent, intending to speak to him to convince him to listen to some potential offers he might receive.
The Brazil international believes he is in a position to continue to develop in Xavi’s side, after a first season in which he managed to start regularly for the La Liga champions.
He wants to play an even more prominent role and consolidate his position, Ousmane Dembele’s recovery increases competition or the possible signing of new forwards for next season.
FCB considering Brazilain future due to his good reputation in the Premier League. Teams like Chelsea and Newcastle are ready to make big bids for him.
He has been quiet and has done well on the pitch, outshining the other strikers he has been competing with.
Raphinha has now reportedly told those close to him that he is 100 percent confident in his ability and that neither he nor his delegation would consider parting ways with the Catalan club.
Moreover, Ansu Fati and Ferran Torres seem to have fewer options to stay in the squad at the moment.
The summer is going to be a long one though and the new tandem responsible for Barca’s sporting direction, formed by Matteo Allemani and Deco, have a lot of work ahead of them.
As president Joan Laporta and his board have more room to secure the financial fair play required for La Liga to be able to make the necessary signings.
Raphinha’s On The Pitch Message For Vini Jr:
As long as eye color is more important than skin color, there will be war. We are with you, Vini.
These are the words Barcelona star Rafinha wrote on the vest under his shirt on Tuesday night, which he showed off as he walked off the pitch against Real Valladolid.
Raphinha is a Bazil national team player and he is a team-mate who has the message tattooed on his leg, a tattoo he removed at least two years ago.
After the match, Vinicius sent a message thanking Rafinha for his support. Raphinha feels the stress and strain of recent events more acutely.
But he is the latest of a number of footballers to show their support for Venisius, including Giorgi Mamradashvili, Younis Moussa, Anaï Simon, Alejandro Balde and Kylian Mbappe.
In particular, Jules Kounde wrote an eloquent racial slur on Monday after the match.
